Bee Ride is concerned about the security of the personal data of its customers/users, visitors to its website and all persons whose personal data it processes (hereinafter " you " and " your "). 2. Why do we process your personal data?

We collect and process your personal data when you interact with us or with one of our services (for example, when you use our Application or browse our website). We collect data in particular when you create a user account via the user account creation form available in the Application, when you exchange with us (for example, via the contact form available on our website), when you conclude an electric scooter rental contract, when you contact our customer service or subscribe to our marketing communications. The purposes are as follows:

a. Creating a User Account and using the Services (including the Application)

In order to allow you to create your user account and to allow you to benefit from the services offered by us through the use of the Application, including to identify inappropriate use of electric scooters or to detect illegal use of the Application, we process the following personal data in particular:

  • First and last name
  • Phone number
  • E-mail address
  • Location data (such as where the trip started and ended, routes taken)
  • Technical Data (this may include how you use our Application or website, the type, language and version of browser you are using, information about your device (e.g., device type and operating system), your Internet Protocol (IP) address, and any similar information that enables you to access our Application or website)

This processing is necessary for the conclusion and performance of the contract of use concluded between you and us (including the rental contract(s) for electric scooters) and for the management of our contractual relationship.

b. Processing your payments

In order to process your payments for the use of our services and to ensure the proper receipt of payments by us, we use the company Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd (based in Dublin, Ireland) and process the following personal data in particular:

  • First and last name
  • E-mail address
  • Financial and transactional data (this may include certain information regarding payments you have made, information related to services you have purchased (for example, the beginning and end of your rental agreement), billing address, payment method, amount or similar information. We do not store your complete payment card information).

This processing is necessary for the conclusion and execution of the contract of use (including the rental contract(s) for electric scooters) concluded between you and us and for the management of our contractual relationship.

c. Customer Service Management

For the purposes of providing general support and communication with you and more specifically, to manage the relationship with you, prevent and resolve technical problems, handle any type of request from you (complaint, technical issue, follow-up question, responses to your questions, comments or concerns), inform you of any changes or updates to our services, our terms and conditions of use of the services or our privacy policy, we process the following personal data, among others:

  • Technical data
  • Financial and transactional data (if applicable)
  • Location data (if applicable)
  • Data or information you send us when you contact our customer service

This processing is necessary for the performance of the user contract (including the rental contract(s) for electric scooters) concluded between you and us and for the management of our contractual relationship.

d. Statistical analyses of service usage, satisfaction surveys and/or other similar activities

In order to perform statistical analysis of the use of our services, to maintain, develop and improve our services, including functionality, safety, performance based on your comments and feedback and to improve our understanding of the electric scooter market, we process the following personal data:

  • First and last name
  • E-mail address
  • Technical data
  • Survey data, satisfaction survey responses and other data you choose to share with us when participating in a survey or satisfaction survey

This processing is based on our legitimate interest in developing and improving our services and market understanding. Wherever possible, we perform our analysis on anonymized/aggregated data.

e. Comply with our legal or regulatory obligations

This processing is necessary for the performance of the contract of use (including the rental contract(s) for electric scooters) entered into between you and us and for the management of our contractual relationship in order to verify that you are insured during your journeys. This processing is also necessary for our legitimate interests, namely to provide information to our insurers or brokers for the purpose of processing claims, claims for compensation and therefore to manage our insurance policies.

Bee Ride has taken out a third party fleet insurer, Zego BV (headquartered at Hofplein, 20, 3032 AC, Rotterdam, The Netherlands), a personal accident and liability insurance policy to cover you during your electric scooter rental contract. f. Marketing Communications

For the purposes of (i) marketing communications, i.e., content and advertisements about our services, the Application, including suggestions and/or recommendations regarding products/services that may be of interest to you, and marketing campaign evaluation, as well as (ii) introducing our Application and services to your referrals, we process the following personal data, among others:

  • First and last name
  • E-mail address
  • Phone number
  • Profile data (this may include the types of rentals you have made, your interests, marketing communication preferences)

Marketing communications may be made, for example, by email, text message or advertisement embedded in the Application. In addition, as part of the referral program, we will send your contact an email inviting them to visit our Application and services.

This processing is based on your consent to receive marketing communications. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time and free of charge and/or to object to this processing activity at any time either directly on the advertising message or by writing to us at the following email address: privacy@gliize.com.

3. With whom do we share your personal data?

For the purposes set forth above, Bee Ride may use third parties to ensure the proper performance of the services and functionality of the Application, such as IT service providers, hosting service providers, or others as described below. In doing so, Bee Ride may share your personal data with these third parties:

  • Our suppliers and service providers: We use suppliers and service providers to manage, develop, maintain and promote our services (such as IT service providers - for example, for the development and maintenance of the Application or the website - or payment services);
  • Judicial or administrative authorities, law enforcement agencies and advisors: We may disclose your personal data to judicial authorities (including courts for the exercise of legal rights) or administrative authorities, or to law enforcement agencies for any inquiry or investigation where we are required to do so.   • Insurance companies: we may share your personal data to process claims, compensation and administer our insurance policies;
  • Bee Ride's affiliates or group companies (if any): we may share your personal data as part of a corporate transaction (for example, in the event of a sale or transfer of all or part of our business or assets, a merger or acquisition of any companies) or for internal group administration.

Bee Ride may share your personal data with a third party for the purpose of financing its activities. Bee Ride may also share your personal data in an emergency to defend your own safety or health interests, the health and safety of other users, or to defend its own rights and interests.

4. Do we transfer your personal data outside the European Union / EEA?

For the purposes indicated above, Bee Ride may transfer your personal data to entities located outside the European Union / EEA.

Deze verwerking is noodzakelijk voor de uitvoering van de tussen u en ons gesloten gebruiksovereenkomst (inclusief de huurovereenkomst(en) van elektrische scooters) en voor het beheer van onze contractuele relatie om na te gaan of u tijdens het rijden verzekerd bent. Deze verwerking is ook noodzakelijk voor onze legitieme belangen om informatie te verstrekken aan onze verzekeraars of makelaars met het oog op de verwerking van claims, verzoeken om schadevergoeding en dus het beheer van onze verzekeringspolissen.

Bee Ride heeft bij een externe wagenparkverzekeraar, de firma Zego BV (gevestigd te Hofplein, 20, 3032 AC, Rotterdam, Nederland), een verzekering afgesloten voor een persoonlijke ongevallen- en wettelijke aansprakelijkheidsverzekering om u te dekken tijdens uw huurovereenkomst van elektrische scooters. Zego kan uw persoonsgegevens verzamelen en verwerken voor het beheer van de verzekeringspolis en eventuele claims. g. Marketingcommunicatie

3. How do we manage our people?

For the above-mentioned people, Bee Ride can do a lot of work with them in order to guarantee the proper functioning of the services and the proper functioning of the App, such as IT-dienstverleners, hostingdienstverleners or anderen as described above. Bee Ride kan uw persoonsgegevens delen met een derde voor de financiering van haar activiteiten. Bee Ride kan uw persoonsgegevens ook delen in geval van nood om uw eigen veiligheid of gezondheidsbelangen, de gezondheid en veiligheid van andere gebruikers of haar eigen rechten en belangen te verdedigen.

4. Geven wij uw persoonsgegevens door buiten de Europese Unie / EER?

Voor de hierboven aangegeven doeleinden kan Bee Ride uw persoonsgegevens doorgeven aan entiteiten buiten de Europese Unie/EER.

In geval van overdracht van gegevens buiten de Europese Unie / EER, zorgt Bee Ride ervoor dat een gelijkaardig beschermingsniveau wordt gegarandeerd door ervoor te zorgen dat passende maatregelen worden genomen, zoals de overdracht naar een land dat volgens de Europese Commissie een adequaat beschermingsniveau van persoonsgegevens garandeert, of het sluiten van specifieke, door de Europese Commissie goedgekeurde contracten die een gelijkaardig beschermingsniveau van persoonsgegevens garanderen als het niveau dat in Europa wordt gegarandeerd.

Wij zetten ons in om de veiligheid van uw persoonsgegevens te waarborgen. Bee Ride is mindful about the security of the personal data of its customers/users, visitors to its website and all persons whose personal data it processes (hereinafter, " you " and " your" ). It is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with applicable laws and to providing you with information on how it collects and processes your data, in particular when you browse the website www.gliize.com and use the Gliize application (hereafter, the " App").

1. Who is responsible for processing your personal data?

Your personal data is collected and processed by Bee Ride SRL, a company incorporated under Belgian law, with its registered seat at Chaussée de Mons, 1129, 1070 Anderlecht (Belgium) with company number 0784.427.914 and also acting under the trademark " Gliize " (hereinafter, " Bee Ride" , " we " and " us" ). Bee Ride acts as personal data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter, the " GDPR" ) for the collection and use of your personal data.

2. Why do we process your personal data?

We collect and process your personal data when you interact with us or any of our services (e.g., when you use our App or browse our website). In particular, we collect data when you create a user account via the user account creation form available in the App, when you interact with us (e.g., via the contact form available on our website), when you enter into a rental agreement for electric scooters, when you contact our customer service or subscribe to our marketing communications. The purposes are as follows:

a. Creation of a user account and use of the services (including the App)

For the purposes of enabling you to create your user account and enabling you to benefit from the services offered by us through the use of the App, including identifying inappropriate use of the electric scooters or detecting illegal use of the App, we process namely the following personal data:

  • Name and first name
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Location data (such as where you started and ended your ride, routes taken)
  • Technical data (this may include how you use our App or our website, the type, language and version of browser used, information about your device (e.g., type of device and operating system), your IP (Internet Protocol) address and any similar information that enables you to access our App or website)

This processing is necessary for the conclusion, the performance of the agreement of use concluded between you and us (including the rental agreement(s) of electric scooters) as well as for the management of our contractual relationship.

b. Processing your payments

For the purposes of processing your payments for the use of our services and ensuring that we receive them correctly, we use the company Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (with seat in Dublin, Ireland) and process namely the following personal data:

  • Name and first name
  • Email address
  • Financial and transactional data (this may include information about payments you have made, information about services you have purchased (e.g., start and end of your rental agreement), invoice address, payment method, the amount or similar information. We do not store your full payment card details).

This processing is necessary for the conclusion, the performance of the agreement of use concluded between you and us (including the rental agreement(s) of electric scooters) as well as for the management of our contractual relationship.

c. Customer Service Management

For the purposes of providing you with general support and to communicate with you and more specifically, of managing the relationship with you, preventing and solving technical problems, dealing with any type of request from you (complaint, technical question, follow-up question, answers to your questions, comments or concerns), informing you of any change or update concerning our services, our General Terms and Conditions of use of the services or our Privacy Policy, we process namely the following personal data

  • Name and first name
  • Telephone number
  • E-mail address
  • Technical data
  • Financial and transactional data (if applicable)
  • Location data (if applicable)
  • Data or information you send us when you contact our customer service

This processing is necessary for the performance of the agreement of use concluded between you and us (including the rental agreement(s) of electric scooters) as well as for the management of our contractual relationship.

d. Statistical analyses about the use of the services, customer surveys and/or similar activities

For the purposes of carrying out statistical analyses about the use of our services, of maintaining, developing and improving our services, including functionalities, security, performance based on your comments and feedback and to improving our understanding of the electric scooter market, we process namely the following personal data

  • Name and first name
  • Email address
  • Technical data
  • Survey data, responses to customer surveys and other data that you choose to provide to us when you participate in a survey or customer survey

This processing is based on our legitimate interest in developing and improving our services and understanding of the market. Wherever possible, we carry out our analysis on anonymised/aggregated data.

e. To comply with our legal or regulatory obligations

For the purposes of complying with our legal or regulatory obligations, including local requirements, a court order or order of any competent authority, or of protecting our rights or those of any third party, in particular to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, we process namely the personal data referred to in the other points of Section 2.

This processing is necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation or is based on our legitimate interest in protecting our rights or those of third parties.

f. Cooperating with our insurers and brokers

For the purposes of cooperating with our insurers and brokers in relation to problems, claims or similar situations arising during your rental agreement of electric scooters, we process namely the following personal data:

  • Name and first name
  • Telephone number
  • E-mail address
  • Technical data
  • Location data
  • Financial and transactional data (if applicable)

This processing is necessary for the performance of the agreement of use (including the rental agreement(s) of electric scooters) concluded between you and us as well as for the management of our contractual relationship to verify that you are insured while riding. This processing is also necessary for our legitimate interests of providing information to our insurers or brokers for the purposes of processing claims, requests for compensation and therefore managing our insurance policies.

Bee Ride has taken out from a third-party fleet insurer, the company Zego BV (whose registered office is at Hofplein, 20, 3032 AC, Rotterdam, The Netherlands), an insurance policy for third-party liability and personal accident to cover you during your rental agreement of electric scooters. Zego may collect and process your personal data to administer the insurance policy and any claims. You can access Zego's privacy policy at the following link: www.zego.com/fr/privacy

f. Marketing communications

For the purposes of (i) marketing communications, i.e., content and advertisements about our services, the App, including suggestions and/or recommendations regarding products/services that may be of interest to you, and marketing campaign evaluation, as well as (ii) introducing our App and services to your referrals, we process namely the following personal data

  • Name and first name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Profile data (this may include the types of rentals you have made, your interests, marketing communication preferences)

Marketing communications may be made, for instance, by email, sms or in-App advertising. In addition, we will send to your contact an email inviting them to visit our App and services as part of our referral programme.

This processing is based on your consent to receive marketing communications. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time and free of charge and/or to object to this processing activity at any time either directly on the marketing message or by writing to us at the following email address: privacy@gliize.com.

3. With whom do we share your personal data?

For the purposes stated above, Bee Ride may use third parties to ensure the proper performance of the services and the proper functionality of the App, such as IT service providers, hosting service providers, or others as described below. In this context, Bee Ride may share your personal data with these third parties:

  • Our suppliers and service providers: we use suppliers and service providers to manage, develop, maintain and promote our services (such as IT service providers - for example, for the development and maintenance of the App or the website - or payment services);
  • Judicial or administrative authorities, law enforcement agencies and advisors: we may disclose your personal data to judicial authorities (including courts for the exercise of legal claims) or administrative authorities, or to law enforcement agencies for any enquiry or investigation where we are required to do so. We may also pass your data to our advisers, such as our lawyers or legal representatives, bailiffs, accountants, insurers, etc., where necessary;
  • Local or governmental authorities: local or governmental authorities (or any competent authority) may require from us to share certain information about our electric scooters as a condition of our operating in the territory or cities (number of scooters made available in the area concerned, number of users, routes used, etc). These authorities use information about electric scooters for purposes such as city planning or the development of a mobility plan;
  • Marketing partners: we may share your personal data with marketing partners to carry out our advertising campaigns;
  • Insurance companies: we may share your personal data to process claims, compensation and to administer our insurance policies;
  • Bee Ride's affiliates or group companies (if any): we may share your personal data as part of a corporate transaction (for example, in the event of a sale or transfer of all or part of our business or assets, a merger or acquisition of any companies) or for internal group administration.

Bee Ride may share your personal data with a third party for the purpose of financing its activities. Bee Ride may also share your personal data in case of emergency to defend your own safety or health interests, the health and safety of other users, or to defend its own rights and interests.

4. Do we transfer your personal data outside the European Union / EEA?

For the purposes indicated above, Bee Ride may transfer your personal data to entities located outside the European Union / EEA.

In case of transfer of data outside the European Union / EEA, Bee Ride ensures that a similar level of protection is guaranteed by ensuring that adequate measures are put in place, such as transferring to a country that guarantees an adequate level of protection of personal data according to the European Commission, or entering into specific contracts approved by the European Commission, ensuring a level of protection of personal data similar to that guaranteed in Europe.

For example, some of your personal data is shared with a company based in Canada for the development and maintenance of the App. Canada is recognised as providing an adequate level of data protection and has been granted an adequacy decision.

5. What measures are taken to ensure the security of your personal data?

We are committed to ensuring the security of your personal data. We put in place appropriate organizational and technical security measures to prevent your personal data from being used or accessed or disclosed in an unauthorised manner or accidentally lost. Access to your personal data is limited to our representatives, employees, subcontractors, service providers or third parties who require access in the course of their duties. They are subject to an obligation of confidentiality.

6. How long do we retain your personal data?

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including to meet our legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other obligations.

When determining the retention periods, we may take into account factors such as:

  • The purposes for which we process your personal data;
  • Our obligations and rights in relation to the data concerned;
  • Our legal, regulatory, tax, accounting and other obligations;
  • Applicable statutory limitation periods;
  • Our legitimate interest in retaining your data;
  • Any disputes, complaints or claims;

In some situations we anonymise your personal data, for instance, for research and statistical purposes; in these instances, this Privacy Policy will not apply anymore, so that we may use such data for an indefinite period of time, unless otherwise specified.

We have legal obligations to retain personal data for a certain period. For instance, for accounting and tax purposes, we have a legal obligation to retain basic information about our customers/users for seven years after they cease to be customers.
